The beach of Sitia is quite large and stretches from the port to the area of Petra. It has sand and in some places fine pebbles while the waters are crystal clear and relatively shallow.

It is a fairly organized beach with umbrellas, showers, lifeguard, water sports & beach bars, which offers the visitor safety and comfort.

The beach of Sitia, which has also been awarded with blue flags, is generally crowded, but on its endless sandy beach you can also find calm spots, (mainly towards the east).
